PIGMENT PRINTING

Commonly referred to as “Giclee” printing. Water based pigmented inks with highest level of print permanence currently available. Prints created in this method have excellent color gamut and can be done on over 50 different papers and more than 10 canvas options. Print surfaces – especially dark colors on matte papers – can be delicate, and need to be handled with a high level of care.

We print on both roll media and cut sheets.

DYE SUBLIMATION PRINTING

This is a dye based heat transfer process in which the image is printed first onto a specially coated paper. From there, the image is transferred to a substrate using a high level of heat and pressure. The ink essentially turned to a gas and transferred directly from the paper to the final substrate / surface. Most aluminum or ‘metal prints’ that you see – the ones with high gloss surface and exceptional depth – are created using this method.

Prints created using this method can be over-printed using UV Flatbed Printing for added effect, and a differentiated / varied print surface finish.

UV FLATBED PRINTING

UV Flatbed printing is unique to fine art digital printing, in that it’s the only process that offers white ink. Additionally, it allows you to print directly to rigid materials that cannot be run through our other printers.

Prints are cured using halogen UV lamps as the print is being created, and the printed surfaces are very durable compared to water based pigmented prints.

UV inks are applied to the print surface with a considerable thickness compared to other print methods. With proper planning, UV flatbed printing can be used to create 3 dimensional relief-like surfaces, or reproductions of original surface textures.
